Visitors to the ISH trade fair now have state-of-the-art access to the internationally leading trade fair (12-16 March 2013 in Frankfurt am Main) with a free application that is available for iPhones, iPads and all smartphones with Android at www.ish2013.com/app. The information provided on the display makes it considerably easier to plan, take part and follow up your visit to the trade fair.

More than two weeks before the start of the ISH, you can comfortably plan your visit to the trade fair using comprehensive data. Of course the official trade fair catalogue is still available in printed form. However, instead of thumbing through this heavyweight you can get electronic assistants to do the work. All the data printed in the catalogue is also available as an online catalogue that can be accessed via the Internet from your PC workstation.

And there is even more: in the mobile version you can use the official trade fair catalogue via an app that is suitable for iPhones, iPads and smartphones with Android. This will therefore also enable you to access data to research and plan your ISH visit while underway. For example, you can navigate you trade fair visit while mobile. Using manual positioning, the ISH app indicates the shortest route from one specified stand to another. Because the app lists all exhibitors with their hall and stand number, you can compile your own wish lists and trade fair tours in advance.

In addition to hall plans, there are also preconfigured wish lists and tours on specific themes such as barrier-free baths, renewable energy and the German sanitation, heating and air conditioning industry’s ‘Handwerkermarke’ quality labels. It is also possible to start a full text search of company names, information texts and goods groups. Interactive entries of the exhibitors can be linked to contact data and the hall plan.

The tagging function integrated in the ISH app also makes it easier to tour the trade fair. This saves you from having to collect product catalogues. Although two years ago QR codes were still a rare sight at the trade fair, many exhibitors now offer this service as a matter of course. The advantage: once the trade fair is over, you can evaluate this online information and incorporate it into your own IT system. Other benefits include the fact that the QR codes can be added to “Favourites” and web addresses can be directly accessed from your browser. Exhibitor brochures can be downloaded and shown in the PDF format. Last but not least, you can synchronise your collected favourites with the trade fair catalogue website at www.ish2013.com.
